DON'T GO DAWGS

This web page is dedicated to two damn good dawgs that we hope return for the 2009 Season! Junior Matthew Stafford and red-shirt Sophomore Knowshon Moreno will both be playing Sundays; that's no doubt. The Dawg Nation hopes won't be until after the 2009 season, and this web site is a place for us to show our appreciation and to make our request...Don't Go Dawgs! Both have had incredible careers at UGA, and we owe them our gratitude, but there is still some unfinished business. From a team standpoint, there is still a National Championship to be won. If this year's schedule was stacked against a run at the national title, next year's seems to be the most beneficial schedule UGA has had in recent memory! South Carolina, Arizona State, LSU and Auburn at home, an open date before a Tebow-less Florida, no Bama on the schedule (replaced by Arkansas), Tennessee is down, and Tennessee Tech ensures we don't accidentally look past the Gators, ha! If we can make a statement against a strong Oklahoma State team to kick off the season, we are on the map. Come back and make one more run at the National Championship!! We need the leadership and talent of Stafford and Moreno to make that happen.

Individually, one of these two is going to bring a Heisman to UGA if they stay. The entire line is coming back next year, plus we will have unbelievable depth created by guys stepping in to fill holes this year. Matthew will be able to camp out back there and pick apart defenses all year! Knowshon will also benefit from the mature and fully stocked line. Knowshon, just passed 1000 yards rushing for the second season in a row. Only Herschel's done that, and he did it three seasons. Come back and match the greatest running back of all time! Come back and avenge the Florida loss we all suffered through this year! Come back and make this the first year the NFL draft takes the the first and second pick from the same University! Come back and end our National Championship drought!
